We love Dan and Ellen. Any engagement session that ends with us asking the couple to go “stand in these bushes” and soon after, the bride walks out with mud soaked feet, belly laughs and asking for photos of said feet…we’re winning. We even quickly joked that we promise not to get her muddy on the wedding day. To which Ellen replied, “I wouldn’t care if you did.”
That makes sense because 10 minutes prior, Ellen found a giant slug by accidentally almost sitting on it. Again, she didn’t flinch. She started to pet the slug affectionately as a matter of fact!
Dan was equally as carefree. When we asked him to jump, he jumped. When asked to pick her up, he picked her up. How about you run at the camera? (no T-rex photoshop we promise) And he ran at the camera. Dan and Ellen, who’ve been together over 10 years, couldn’t be more perfectly matched.
And we couldn’t be more excited for their Mount Hood Organic Farms wedding in a few weeks. There’s sure to be more laughs and adventure. We’ll do our best to stay away from the dirt…but no promises.
Enjoy our favorites from their Pittock Mansion engagement shoot!
