Flower leis, a Hawaiian feast, tiki torches, mai tais, fire dancer. These are a few of our favorite things. Anyone that knows us, knows we absolutely love Hawaii. Consequently, we absolutely love Jordan and Erin. They also share the same affection for the islands as us. So much so, that for their Waverley Country Club wedding, the entire theme was built around the magic of Maui. From the dress, to the food, to the decor, all the way to the pineapple ice sculpture at the buffet, it was a tropical themed celebration that we could not get enough of.
Jordan and Erin exchanged vows overlooking the Willamette River in front of nearly 200 friends and family. For us, it was actually intoxicating, since the altar was lined in Hawaiian flowers and all we could smell was hibiscus the entire time we were photographing. These two even incorporated the traditional wedding lei exchange during their ceremony, complete with fresh floral leis that had literally just arrived in a box from Hawaii that morning.
Their reception did not disappoint when it came to continuing the theme. Guests, including ourselves, feasted on traditional Kahlua pork and sipped mai tais while the couple made the rounds of their outdoor tables, which looked stunning thanks to one of our favorite local planners, Molli Barss of Soiree. Every detail was thought of and the cherry on top was a surprise performance from a local fire dancer, which also gave us an opportunity to sneak in some fun photos of Jordan and Erin.
At the end of a good, long night of dancing and shenanigans (horse head anyone?), we bid Jordan and Erin goodbye and wished we could pack ourselves in their suitcases for their honeymoon, 10 days on Maui, which began the next morning. Ahhh….Hawaii. Where is teleportation when we need it? Aloha!

These photos are amazing! I’ve been to quite a few events at Waverly, but not many out on the lawn. Great use of the beautiful space and views!
