When we first met Sarah, we were impressed by her enthusiasm and energy in her wedding planning. She had an exact vision of how she wanted her urban Left Bank Annex wedding to look and we love that in a bride. Being from New York, her and her fiance Seth did all the communication and planning from the east coast but chose Portland to have their classy and cool wedding celebration. Things began at the Nines in downtown Portland where Sarah was surrounded by her a vibrant group of girls and family as she prepared to marry Seth, who was busy toasting whiskey and giving his groomsmen customized Nike shoes in another room (Daniel bought the same pair soon after, of course!). When all was said and done, these two were dressed to perfection and ready to rock an awesome party on the east side of the river.
But first, we witnessed a loving and fun ceremony with some of the best vows we’ve heard and a pretty sweet smashing of the glass for their traditional Jewish ceremony (with a New York twist). There was a lot of laughter, tears and sheer joy as these two sealed their marriage in front of the people who mean the most to them. Then, the party started. Hilarious toasts, an adorable coordinated first dance and a pretty freaking awesome hora dance blew us away and we were so happy to be there to photograph it all. Sarah thought of everything as guests lined up for scoops of Portland’s famous Salt and Straw ice cream, served from a traveling cart, Voodoo donuts and later on, a cookies and milk tray that didn’t disappoint. The night also marked our first time working with Christina Palmer of Bridal Bliss planning, who did an incredible job making sure that every last detail was immaculate and the evening was seamless.
It was an incredible day and night and one that we won’t forget. Thank you Seth and Sarah for inviting us into your lives for this important day. We feel honored. Cheers!
