Multi-Day event coverage for espnW involving photography and headshots.
In honor of International Women’s Day, we are sharing our favorite images from the espnW Women Sports Summit at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California. An event we have the pleasure to document every year, we decided to add a little extra something special to our coverage this past time. We tried to capture as many of the speakers and moderators as we could and take a backstage portrait of each one. If you don’t know what the espnW Women + Sports Summit is, it’s a powerful 3 day event that gathers women in sports, media and business. Women from all over come to hear inspirational talks, listen to in depth personal interviews and engage in break out sessions that both strengthen relationships as well as provide opportunity to network among fellow female leaders in their industries. The event is intimidating to us, as we are fully aware of the greatness that we’re in company with, and the impact all of these women have on our society and culture today. It’s truly amazing.
The espnW Women + Sports Summit speakers last year ranged from Bozoma Saint John, the Chief Brand Officer of UBER to Hannah Storm, anchor of ESPN’s SportsCenter Face to Face. From Rebekah Gregory, a Boston Marathon bombing survivor turned motivational speaker to Sue Bird, an American professional basketball player for the Seattle Storm of the WNBA to Kathryn Budig, internationally known yoga teacher and best selling author. From Susan Casey, the editor in chief of O, The Oprah Magazine and former editor in chief of Sports Illustrated Women, to Kirstie Ennis, a Paraolympic athlete that lost her leg in helicopter crash while serving in the US Marine Corps in Afghanistan. The list goes on but those stories alone give you insight into the presence we were surrounded by.
These women are breaking through barriers and paving the way like we’ve never seen before. Their power is undoubted and their ability to create and inspire is unparalleled. We cannot imagine a better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than by highlighting these powerhouse women in a series of portraits that we had the honor to capture.
We hope you enjoy.
