Kathryn Budig is an internationally celebrated yoga teacher and author known for her accessibility, humor, and ability to empower her students through her message, “aim true.” She is a warrior for self-acceptance, honesty, and helping her students and readers find true balance. One of Kathryn’s most memorable yoga retreats was in Santorini, Greece. We were there to photograph it, do a little yoga and hang out with our friend.

Below she talks about the meaning and inspiration of Aim True.

Aim True was inspired by my love of the greek goddess Artemis—goddess of the moon and the hunt.

She inspired me as a young tomboy with her carefree and rebellious attitude, but as a adult truly taught me what it meant to stand strong as an empowered woman in society. I now live by those words.

Aiming true is my ability to wake up everyday living with purpose and pursuing my passions, even when the expectations of others challenge my beliefs.

When I drop my fear, zone out the noise of other’s opinions, and stay true to my passion—I always hit my mark. I now teach this message through my writing and teaching in hopes that this message can help others as much as it’s helped me.
