Siena Licht Miller is a messa-soprano opera singer who heard about us through another musical branding session we did with Oregon Symphony conductor, Norman Huynh. Siena is based in Philadelphia and contacted Daniel just a few days before she arrived in Portland to perform at the classic Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Luckily Daniel was available for a branding session with Siena and even more lucky, they were granted use of the concert hall for Siena’s portrait session.
With just a few hours to spare before the doors opened to seat guests for the show, Daniel and Siena made the best of the beautiful space, taking a wide variety of portraits for Siena. She wanted these photos for headshots in concert announcements, her website, press releases and social media. Our goal with branding sessions is to always provide photos that will spread across a multitude of platforms for our subjects. Gone are the days where people just need a quick portrait shot for their Linkedin bio. Being a performer or an entrepreneur in 2019 means needing photos that you can share regularly to promote yourself and also supply for media announcements. Our branding sessions approach this and blend the art of portraits with the business of self promotion.
Siena was an absolute gem to work with. Flexible, encouraging and quite frankly, drop dead gorgeous! She came to the session with her mom who was so supportive and it made the working environment even more relaxed and personable. In addition to posing in and around the concert hall, Daniel had Siena sing for him in the lobby, while workers were cleaning and prepping for the performances. Siena rang the halls with her immensely powerful and stunning opera voice. We can’t wait to see these photos pop up in rotation for Siena, and even more so, we can’t wait to catch a performance ourselves one day!
