Congratulations on your engagement! When people think of engagement photos, they often think it means we’ve photographed the proposal. Actually, an engagement photo session is after you’re engaged and you want some fun, casual and laid back photos to share on your wedding website, have printed at the wedding and print on a save the date card. Or maybe you just want some practice in front of the camera! In fact, this is our top reason for recommending an engagement session.
It makes a world of difference to have had a little practice come wedding time. Plus, we’ll be like old friends already.
Engagement sessions can be personal, at your home or in your favorite bar. Engagement sessions can also inspire your guests, show off the beauty of the city where you’re marrying and also celebrate your love in one of your favorite places.
And if you really want to go nuts, engagement sessions can take you to more exotic locations like Hawaii, San Francisco or the beaches of Southern California. Just for fun.
We love the opportunity to spend more time getting to know you both and also capture you in a more relaxed setting.
Colin & Amanda
Portland Engagement
Amanda and Colin were every bit as warm, kind and fun as they seemed in their emails leading up to the shoot. A little convincing was all it took to get Amanda in a tire swing to kick things off. When you start a shoot on tire swing, you know the next 90 minutes are going to go pretty well.
Jersey & Patrick
Santa Cruz Engagement
Like most of us, Jersey and Patrick love a lot of things in life but California, the outdoors, and each other top the list. We were able to combine all three in their session at Natural Bridges State Park, where we scaled Eucalyptus trees, hillsides and rock formations in order to capture Jersey and Patrick in their truest form and happiest element.
David & Sarah
Hoyt Arboretum Engagement
David and Sarah braved the January cold with us just a few days after New Year’s for their Hoyt Arboretum engagement session.
Jeff & Yen
Portland Engagement
Jeff and Yen are recent Portland transplants but they’re traveling back to Los Angeles next year for their wedding. We recently we spent an afternoon with them in Portland, running around the city taking fun and sexy portraits.
Evan & Jessica
Rontoms Engagement
Jessica is a talented wedding photographer here in Portland whom we have known for years. She and Evan met in a unlikely (yet likely) place…standing in line for the bathroom at a local bar, Rontom’s.
Jesse & Kristen
Portland Engagement
You never know where and when you’re going to find the one. You might move all the way from North Carolina to Portland, Oregon, only to fall in love with someone…from South Carolina.
