Congratulations on your engagement! When people think of engagement photos, they often think it means we’ve photographed the proposal. Actually, an engagement photo session is after you’re engaged and you want some fun, casual and laid back photos to share on your wedding website, have printed at the wedding and print on a save the date card. Or maybe you just want some practice in front of the camera! In fact, this is our top reason for recommending an engagement session.
It makes a world of difference to have had a little practice come wedding time. Plus, we’ll be like old friends already.
Engagement sessions can be personal, at your home or in your favorite bar. Engagement sessions can also inspire your guests, show off the beauty of the city where you’re marrying and also celebrate your love in one of your favorite places.
And if you really want to go nuts, engagement sessions can take you to more exotic locations like Hawaii, San Francisco or the beaches of Southern California. Just for fun.
We love the opportunity to spend more time getting to know you both and also capture you in a more relaxed setting.
Jimmy & Shaylee
Seattle Engagement
Jimmy and Shaylee live in our sister city, Seattle but are getting married this summer at Cannon Beach, just east of Portland. They braved the typical NW rain for their Olympic Sculpture Park engagement session, smiling through it all. We can’t wait for their beach wedding in July, where we’ll trade the rain for sun and bare feet!
Evan & Lauren
Portland Engagement
When we sat down to coffee with Evan and Lauren to discuss their wedding plans and our photography, it didn’t take long to figure out we had much more in common than we thought. Turns out Evan went to the same middle school as Lindsay in Mill Valley, California and works with one of Lindsay’s childhood friends at Portland State University. Many laughs and rounds of “do you know this person too?!” later, we all realized it was a perfect match and we couldn’t wait to work together.
Brian & Vivian
Palace of Fine Arts Engagement
Brian and Vivian are getting married next year in Central Oregon but live in San Francisco. When they hired us, they weren’t sure about an engagement session just yet but since we were already going to be in the bay area for a wedding last month, they decided to go for it and we all couldn’t be happier that they did.
Jordan & Erin
Cathedral Park Engagement
Our session took place on literally a 1 hour break in the rain at one of Portland’s iconic backdrops, the St. John’s Bridge.
Larry & Domi
Pearl District Engagement
We’re so happy to share these Pearl district engagement photos with Domi and Larry, an easy going, fun couple whose Portland Art Museum wedding we are photographing later this year
Chris & Laura
Overlook Park Engagement
Chris and Laura’s engagement session was the first time we have been to a shoot that started with the groom making us handcrafted cocktails. Chris has a gift for creating these delicious drinks and we can’t think of a better way to get relaxed before venturing out for photos.
