Chinese weddings offer unique traditions that are always a pleasure to photograph. The tea exchange with the elders before the ceremony is such a sweet and endearing time to photograph families coming together. We love the different attire worn by the couples and the families, as well as some of the fun to be had during the reception! Particularly if there’s a table contest as the family walks to each group. Bring it on! Photographing different cultures is one of the great pleasures of being a wedding photographer and Chinese weddings offer no disappointment in their rich traditions.
Sentinel Hotel Wedding
Derrick & Lauren
Derrick and Lauren are incredibly busy med students and resident physicians so when it came to planning their Sentinel Hotel wedding, they did what every busy couple should absolutely do (and in this order)…book their dream venue, find a photographer they love and hire a stellar team to make it all happen.
Vista Point and Clarklewis Wedding
Lily & Chalmers
When thinking about our favorite weddings of all time, Chalmers and Lily’s Clarklewis wedding definitely deserves a spot on that list. And that may come as a surprise, given the fact that their Vista House ceremony overlooking the beautiful Columbia Gorge was completely socked in by wildfire smoke and high winds! But more on that later…
Elysian Ballroom Wedding
Hobin & Ella
Planning a wedding is no easy feat as is and planning a Portland wedding while living in New York makes the task even harder. Luckily, Hobin and Ella hired an amazing local wedding planner, Molli Barss of Soiree and the pieces of their Elysian Ballroom wedding came together perfectly.
