The Columbia Gorge is often what people think of when they imagine Oregon. Sweeping vistas of rolling hills, mountains and valleys that dip into a vast river. Top it off with a setting that includes the grand Mt. Hood behind you? Boom! Dream wedding location. In fact, Columbia Gorge weddings have become so popular recently that most of our couples getting married there aren’t even from Portland! Rather, it’s the new destination wedding site. It’s mountains over beach, green trees over sand, rivers over oceans. We happen to agree with these couples that you can save the beach for your honeymoon and first tie the knot in arguably the most beautiful region of the United States. The Pacific Northwest (#pnwonderland, #pnwwedding, #upperleftisbest) is popular for good reason. We have been to the Columbia Gorge for weddings more in the last two years than ever before and we hope the trend never stops! Check out weddings on our blog from Skamania Lodge, Mt. Hood Organic Farms, Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast and the Gorge Discovery Center to name a few.
Vista Point and Clarklewis Wedding
Lily & Chalmers
When thinking about our favorite weddings of all time, Chalmers and Lily’s Clarklewis wedding definitely deserves a spot on that list. And that may come as a surprise, given the fact that their Vista House ceremony overlooking the beautiful Columbia Gorge was completely socked in by wildfire smoke and high winds! But more on that later…
Mt. Hood Organic Farms Wedding
R&L
R & L kicked off our summer season with a quintessential Mount Hood Organic Farms wedding on a stunning (albeit hot!) day in June.
