Greek weddings are so, so…fun. They might not smash the plates anymore but that doesn’t mean they don’t know to party still. The orthodox church in Portland is simply stunning and we’ve also been lucky enough to photograph a traditional greek wedding in Greece. The weddings are big, beautiful, deliciously catered and well enjoyed by all. We particularly love the ceremony though. The incorporation of family throughout and the way the couple both actively participate in so many important moments are some of the most thoughtful and sincere traditions we’ve been lucky enough to photograph. If marrying in Portland, you may find yourself asking where to have your Greek wedding reception. For Matt & Christina on our blog, that spot was Left Bank Annex and we highly encourage a big bash there! Another great spot for large parties is Castaway and the Exchange Ballroom. Opa!
Holy Trinity Greek Cathedral & Camp Angelos Wedding
Bryan & Zoey
Grooms that eat BBQ ribs in a tux. Brides that choose to get ready in their childhood home. Fathers of the bride with cool cars. Couples that hike across streams and through mud for a perfect PNW photo. Couples that laugh with us and ask if we’re having fun too. These are a few of our favorite things. And these are all things we experienced at Bryan and Zoey’s perfect summer wedding in Portland.

Lafayette Hotel Wedding, San Diego
Full disclosure: Daniel and I have a love affair with San Diego. We’ve been 3 times in the last year just to escape Portland, bask in the sun, swim in the ocean and well…eat legit tacos.
Left Bank Annex Wedding
Matt & Christina
You guys. We seriously love this couple. Not only are Matt and Christina a couple of hilarious, slightly raucous and super energetic people; they are also the kindest, most sincere and authentic people we’ve had the pleasure of photographing.
