Low-light weddings provide a unique opportunity that we are always up for. While it may seem daunting, it can create a romantic and intimate feel that other lighting situations can’t. Low-light weddings are often in darker churches but can also be in more unique settings like nightclubs, theaters or just outdoor venues at night. Whatever your venue and lighting, we are more than ready and in fact, very excited about the challenge! Take a look at some examples of these unique circumstances in which we photographed in little to no light at all.
Kyle & Emily
Council Crest, Elder Hall Wedding
Emily and Kyle chose Council Crest park for their wedding ceremony. This beautiful, hill top location overlooks Portland and offers views of our area’s mountains that are unparalleled. Kyle is an arborist and Emily is a true PNW gal so it was really important for them to exchange vows amongst the trees and natural beauty of Oregon.
Timberline Lodge Wedding
Josh & Casey
“We’ve been together for 8 years and we’re extremely excited that we can now officially get married.” This was our initial email from Casey when he inquired about his wedding a few months ago.
Yi & Sarah
Empress Estate Wedding
Yi and Sarah held an intimate, romantic and elegant celebration for their Empress Estate wedding this past March. These two are as sweet as they come. They gave us one of our first weddings of the year, which could almost be described as a fancy elopement.
Adrian & Sarah
Blue Hour Portland Wedding
The Blue Hour restaurant is a classic, a true Portland institution. Adrian and Sarah couldn’t have chose a better spot to host their glamorous, stylish and utterly sophisticated wedding.
Andy & Catherine
Elder Hall Wedding
When Andy and Catherine asked us to be their photographers and Lindsay to officiate, they had one caveat…don’t tell anyone. These two planned a surprise wedding for their immediate family and until the wedding date, we were literally the only other two people who knew about it. Having that kind of secret up our sleeves made for an even greater bond between the four of us, and we couldn’t wait to be a part of a truly special wedding day for them.
Linda & Sommer
Irving Street Kitchen, Portland, Oregon
Linda and Sommer were hands down two of the most generous people we worked with all year. They were gracious, warm and so easy to talk to…every step of the way.
