Low-light weddings provide a unique opportunity that we are always up for. While it may seem daunting, it can create a romantic and intimate feel that other lighting situations can’t. Low-light weddings are often in darker churches but can also be in more unique settings like nightclubs, theaters or just outdoor venues at night. Whatever your venue and lighting, we are more than ready and in fact, very excited about the challenge! Take a look at some examples of these unique circumstances in which we photographed in little to no light at all.
Kyle & Vivian
Vista Hills Vineyard Wedding
Kyle and Vivian flew up from the bay area for both their Pearl District engagement session and Vista Hills Vineyard wedding with us.
Michael & Meredith
Exchange Ballroom
We loved everything from Michael and Meredith’s enthusiasm for the day to the unique details that made up their day to their first dance song, which was a Bob Marley classic performed by two of their close friends.
Ryan & Lauren
Willamette Valley Vineyards
Ryan and Lauren had planned a ceremony overlooking the vineyards but due to good old mother nature, it was moved indoors to the tasting room. While a little disappointment was surely felt initially, it was quickly overcome by their heartfelt ceremony full of laughter, enthusiasm and pure love.
Vista Point and Clarklewis Wedding
Lily & Chalmers
When thinking about our favorite weddings of all time, Chalmers and Lily’s Clarklewis wedding definitely deserves a spot on that list. And that may come as a surprise, given the fact that their Vista House ceremony overlooking the beautiful Columbia Gorge was completely socked in by wildfire smoke and high winds! But more on that later…
Scott & Sarah
Hotel Deluxe and Temple Beth Israel Wedding
Beth Israel is a beautiful structure that we have admired for years from the outside and it was a treat to finally see it on the inside. The ornate walls and stunning glass ceiling were the perfect backdrop for this charming couple, who hosted an elegant black tie affair for their nearly 200 guests.
Left Bank Annex Wedding
Matt & Christina
You guys. We seriously love this couple. Not only are Matt and Christina a couple of hilarious, slightly raucous and super energetic people; they are also the kindest, most sincere and authentic people we’ve had the pleasure of photographing.
