Liz Wilson discovered yoga in college by attending a promotional week at a new Baptiste studio off campus. (Though her mother demands a little credit due to practicing some prenatal yoga during her pregnancy).
As an athlete, she resonated with the physically challenging element. As a stressed student, she resonated with the emotional and mental relaxation that kicks in afterwards, aka the “yoga high.” She quickly developed an interest in arm balances and inversions, which she supported by taking every clinic possible, including with Kathryn Budig, Tiffany Cruikshank, and Simon Park.
Deciding to postpone law school, she completed her 220-hour teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center and moved to a ski town in Colorado where she worked, taught, and got outside nearly every day.
Over three years later, she has moved to Portland, OR, where she teaches at Yoga Pearl and The Grinning Yogi.
