The Portland Armory, home to the Gerding theater is a historic building in downtown Portland Oregon. Originally builtin in 1891 to house the National guard, it’s beautiful stonework is a familiar landmark on the corner of 11th ave. One of our hometowns finest theater venues it also serves as a wedding and reception space. The two-tiered lobby spaces dramatically merge Portland history and culture with state-of-the-art sustainable design. This setting provides the perfect backdrop for a modern, downtown wedding. The expansive building can easily house 200 guests, with complete on-site staff to facilitate a seamless wedding day. Bride and grooms will love the opportunity for photos downtown, and the Armory is only a few steps away from the natural beauty of the park blocks.
