Near the Oregon zoo in the southwest hills of Portland lies the World Forestry Center. With indoor and outdoor event spaces, the octagon reception hall has become a beautiful wedding venue. The rustic beams and cedar paneling bring a warm red glow to any wedding soiree and compliment the outdoor ceremony site with it’s verdant lawn. Guests can enjoy a cocktail or photo booth while entering the facility and Portland photographers will love the close proximity between ceremony and reception. The World forestry center is well suited for any event and can be transformed into many unique wedding themes and layout options.
World Forestry Center
Labor Day weekend is always the most popular weekend of the year for us and weddings. It’s already booked for 2015 and was snatched up quickly for 2014 last year. One of those couples who snagged it early was Tim and Mela.
Hotel DeLuxe & World Forestry Center Wedding
John and Hallie’s wedding celebration was held at the World Forestry Center, where we witnessed an emotional ceremony, touching (and equally humorous) toasts, some serious dancing (imaginary double dutch anyone?) and a whole lot of hugging and laughter between friends and family.
World Forestry Center Wedding
As Lindsay and I spent the day with Sarah and Joe, it was evident how important family is to them. Their wedding, at the World Forestry Center in Portland, was a true family event. From aunts and grandmothers in the room while the girls were getting ready to siblings and parents arranging every last detail, you could see how important this day was to everyone.
