We had so much fun getting to know Adrian and Sarah over the past year. These two are independently pretty fierce and together, a force to be reckoned with. Adrian is an architect, working on some of Portland’s largest and most dramatic new sky rises that are going up like crazy as this city grows. Sarah owns a barre studio, she’s clearly a powerhouse- owning and running a successful female operated business. Needless to say, aside from being beautifully planned and executed, their Blue Hour wedding was the perfect embodiment and celebration of all their talents.
Adrian and Sarah first united with a traditional Catholic mass in St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Their ceremony gave us another first to photograph, which we always love. These two lit candles at the altar and then gracefully walked the aisle, lighting the candle of each guest at the end of the pews. Who then helped to light the candles of their seat mates until the entire church was a glowing representation of the love and support behind this couple. It was truly powerful and reminded us all of why weddings are so important.
After the ceremony, the party started! And Adrian and Sarah did not disappoint us or their guests. The Blue Hour restaurant is a classic. A true Portland institution and they couldn’t have chose a better spot to host their glamorous, stylish and utterly sophisticated wedding. Between Adrian’s sharp jawline and classic tux against Sarah’s long side swept hair with a lace mermaid gown that hugged her perfectly, we were on a camera high and couldn’t stop snapping these two beauties.
Enjoy a few of our favorites from the day!
