We knew we would love Molly and Chris when after our engagement session last year on Sauvie Island, they said, “Let’s go get a beer now.” These two are seriously awesome and we definitely found kindred spirits in them.
Photographing their Youngberg Hill wedding was like spending a day amongst friends and we just happen to have our cameras. Molly and Chris were easy going, relaxed and just plain fun. You can ask any photographer what’s one thing that makes for the best photos with a wedding couple and it’s hand down…having a great attitude. Relax, have a good time, trust us and let us do our thing. And the pictures will reflect that. Molly and Chris were 100% on board with us and when it got to the point that Daniel was in a Molly/Chris sandwich on the dance floor, we knew we had succeeded in our jobs.
Molly got ready with a group of close girlfriends and her mom, who made her dress for her. There were lots of sweet moments and thoughtful exchanges between this loving group of people. The ceremony was funny, touching and endearing. But what really got the crowd going was a series of both equally emotional and hilarious toasts from Molly and Chris’ friends and family. After that, the party got underway and didn’t stop. Molly emailed us a few weeks ago and described one of the highlight moments of the night. It was during the reception and the entire dance floor (ourselves included) engaged in some very enthusiastic singing to…Call Me, Maybe. It was magical. :)
We had so much fun at this wedding and honestly wish we could do it all again with these two. Thanks Molly and Chris for a kickass time. We wish you all the best in your beautiful marriage.
