We recently joined Mark and Katie for a couple hours in one of their favorite waterfront parks in Vancouver for their Columbia River engagement session. How can we sum these two up? They’re the kind of people you want to sit back and have a beer with. Sweet, sensitive and so kind to each other, yet lighthearted and always game for a laugh or a joke.
When we arrive at engagement sessions, we often hear a similar quote from our couples, along the lines of…”I usually hate having my photo taken!” And while it’s our job to erase that feeling in front of the camera, it makes even easier when the couple is encouraging to one another and taking little steps to make each other smile throughout the shoot. Mark and Katie did that for each other and many times it seemed like they forgot they were being photographed, and we forgot we were taking photos! It was effortless and so much fun.
These two are tying the knot at another gorgeous Columbia Gorge location this summer and we can’t wait to photograph them once more. This time with the help of their amazing Bridal Bliss coordinator, Kirsten- which pretty much ensures that we will all be feeling effortless and having fun again! See you soon guys!
