Alex and Anthony’s Exchange Ballroom wedding was right at the start of wedding season this year and we really couldn’t ask for a better way to kick things off. These two have energy that is just…electric. Between each other and between everyone they know. They are sincere and sensitive, yet hilarious and lighthearted. Anthony was always making sure Alex was taken care of. Yet we never had a moment with them where he didn’t make her burst out laughing or just plain smile at him from ear to ear. Once again, Daniel was roped into sipping Fireball from the bottle with the wedding party. And after they received their photos back, we received a message with about a thousand happy emoji’s to express their gratitude. Just thinking about Alex and Anthony makes us smile!
They planned a special wedding day, with a cocktail hour that was to be on the Exchange Ballroom’s rooftop, overlooking the city. Well of course Portland’s summer just wasn’t quite ready for that, and it was cloudy, rainy and breezy as all get out. But we have to say, these two handled in style. They were troopers for some rooftop portraits anyway, despite crazy wind and goosebumps temps. Which actually made for some fun memories! And then after their romantic low lit ballroom ceremony, they joined their guests in Plan B, a cocktail hour in the building’s hallways while the ballroom was flipped for the reception. Yes, it was not what they had planned, but everyone still had an amazing time. Not having fun is just not something Alex and Anthony do.
Alex and Anthony had enlisted the planning prowess Kristin, who works for the Exchange Ballroom and the Vibrant Table group, and with that, their evening was flawlessly slammed. It was a mixture of elegance with a party vibe. They wanted the night to feel luxurious and like a treat for the guests. Yet encourage everyone to let their hair down and have a great time. The photos will tell the story but we’re pretty sure they accomplished their goal. Like we said earlier, not having fun isn’t an option and we speak for everyone when we say, this wedding was so. much. fun.
