Andrew & Laura met and fell in love at work. That’s a story you’ve probably all heard before, except this time, their work is one of the top athletic companies in the world…Adidas. And since Adidas has a it’s headquarters right here in Portland with hundreds of employees, we find their story extra special special!
Andrew & Laura had a perfect little Gray Gables Estate wedding. If you’ve never been, Gray Gables Estate is a quaint and romantic little venue outside of Portland that has so much charm to it. Daniel was their photographer and he described photographing Andrew & Laura like this: awesome. fun. laid back. cool. Daniel was assisted by the most excellent second photographer a team can have, Erica Ann Bader, and you’ll find many of her photos in the gallery too. And while we’re mentioning the dream team here, let’s take a moment to thank Jennifer of Gray Gables who was so instrumental in this day! Now on to the day….
Laura was a vision in breezy, relaxed yet elegant dress from BHLDN, and she complimented it perfectly with her grandmother’s necklace and a gorgeous floral wreath from Sammy’s Flowers. Andrew went non traditional with a burgundy suit (an idea they both loved and luckily they found a perfect one from Tzarelli) and some Adidas kicks of course. After a lovely first look among Gray Gables gorgeous green trees, the two exchanged tearful vows and exited the ceremony with Laura’s brother playing guitar and singing behind them.
Their reception was kicked off by Andrew’s brother turning his assigned 3 minute speech into a full on rap song with lyrics written for the couple and assisted by their parents which surprised and entertained everyone. The couple then had a first dance where they invited all their guests to the dance floor with them. Our favorite way to start the dancing. After a few hours in heels, it was time for Laura to join the Adidas party with Andrew. The couple changed into his/hers Adidas sneakers, both of which were personalized with images of the couple and their names on the shoe tongues.
Andrew and Laura just came to our house a couple weeks ago to finalize their wedding album. They literally are the nicest people ever and stayed to talk well after we were done with business. They left our house with not only an album on the way, but plans for happy hour with us. Laura had been wearing a pair of pink Adidas during the meeting. The following week, Laura graciously assisted in getting Lindsay a pair for herself and well, we all know the way to Lindsay’s heart. Thank you Laura!
We love this couple, and we hope you love the photos!
