Katie and Royeric’s Mt. Tabor engagement session was originally rescheduled due to Portland’s infamous rain. Sometimes it can be hard to reschedule a shoot here in the winter because…it will probably just rain again the next weekend! But in this case, we lucked out with a sunny weekend for our reshoot. Mt. Tabor stuns when the sun comes out. The way the light peeks through the trees and illuminates everything it touches, is simply magical. Katie and Royeric’s sweetness towards each other was easy to capture as they basked in the sunshine. Engagement sessions sometimes feel like practice sessions for the wedding day, and they can be especially helpful if you feel awkward in front of the camera. However, we also see these sessions as a way to show our clients how easy it is to work with us and why we pride ourselves on making our couples feel so comfortable in their photos. We laugh, we joke and we encourage them just to enjoy this unique time in their lives. The only time where, as awkward as you might think it feels, you get to enjoy embracing the love of your life while someone captures that love.
Katie and Royeric quickly felt comfortable during their engagement session with Daniel at Mt. Tabor park. Wearing matching hiking boots, bold colored sweaters, and both rocking their long locks proudly, it was so much fun to watch them slowly relax and truly enjoy this adventure together. After mucking around at Mt. Tabor for a while, they made their way downhill to McMenamin’s Bagdad theater to share a beer, shuffleboard and a few romantic portraits in the warmly lit bar. It ended up being the most perfect afternoon to not only practice but enjoy having your photo taken! Now the wedding day will be no biggie, and these two can forever enjoy the memories of this photo session in their favorite city. Congratulations, and see you in August guys!
Great content! Super high-quality! Keep it up! :)
