Colin & Amanda

Amanda and Colin’s sweet little Portland engagement session was the first time in a while that only one of us has gone on a shoot. With this session scheduled just a couple weeks after we Starks welcomed our first baby girl (Penelope) into the world, Daniel ventured out on his own to photograph this lovely couple, who are getting married this summer.

Amanda and Colin were every bit as warm, kind and fun as they seemed in their emails leading up to the shoot. They live just a few blocks off Portland’s quirky Mississippi street so Daniel began the shoot there. A little convincing was all it took to get Amanda in a tire swing to kick things off. When you start a shoot on tire swing, you know the next 90 minutes are going to go pretty well.

What followed was Daniel, Amanda and Colin also visiting the couple’s favorite bar, Radar, where the owner graciously let them get behind the bar. The three of them shared a beer while discussing Amanda and Colin’s recent Europe adventures and the top AirBnb’s in Spain and Italy. (Thanks for later emailing us your recommendations, guys!) The shoot rounded out at Overlook Park with a sweeping view of the Fremont Bridge.

It goes without saying that Lindsay was sad to miss this one and couldn’t be happier to back at work with Daniel, where she can join in on fun shoots like this one! Amanda and Colin, congratulations and hope all 4 (or 5!) of us can meet up at Radar again soon!
