Evan & Jessica

We simply cannot wait for September 28th when we will go to a wedding…as guests!! Jessica and Evan are great friends of ours and we’re so happy that these two are tying the knot!

Jessica is a talented wedding photographer here in Portland whom we have known for years. She and Evan met in a unlikely (yet likely) place…standing in line for the bathroom at a local bar, Rontom’s. Their story is one of those “almost didn’t happen” ones. After a fun girl’s night on the town, Jessica nearly called it quits to head home for bed when her girlfriend insisted that she come to one more bar with her. Just one more bar. Luckily, Jessica agreed. And luckily, Evan chose that same bar to hang at with some guy friends. At some point, both were waiting for the restroom and they (Evan) started a casual yet flirty conversation. But they both played it cool and went back to their friends, shrugging off the notion of exchanging numbers with a complete stranger. Well, thanks to a little liquid courage, Evan asked Jessica for her number just before she was about to leave and their official date happened a few days later. Not to sound cliché but…you know the rest!

We teamed up with two other local photographer teams for their Rontoms engagement session around Portland. The eight of us hit up 3 spots and each photographer team took a location, with pauses for drinks, dinner and outfit changes along the way. We tagged along for Part 1 in Forest Park and Part 3, a rooftop on Portland’s east side. But our “official” location was back at Rontom’s, where Jessica and Evan’s story began and we couldn’t be happier to photograph them there.

Jessica and Evan, we are so happy for you. You’re perfect together in every way. And living proof that sometimes, in order to find love, you have to take chances, jump in head first and always, always…go to one more bar.
