We consider California our second home and we’re always happy when we can photograph here. Travis and Jen’s Soda Rock Winery wedding brought us to one of our favorite regions…the beautiful (and delicious!) Napa Valley.
We spent 2 days photographing Travis and Jen in the Healdsburg area. These two hosted a relaxed and fun rehearsal dinner that included a Mexican feast and croquet, a special tradition for Jen and her father. The following day, guests met again for a simple, elegant and romantic wedding at Soda Rock. This venue is unique because there are many charming aspects to the winery and Jen and Travis took advantage of each one. They held their first look in the property’s old barn, exchanged vows in front of the vines and partied on in the main event space for the reception, which was lined with wine barrels and had a back patio opening up to the vineyard. While Jen and Travis were a mostly a quiet and sweet couple, these two surprised us by quickly turning their cute little wedding into one of the best dance parties we’ve been to all year! Their guests did not hold back and neither did we. Most impressive was Jen’s grandmother, so much that we had hard time narrowing down our blog selection to just one shot of her on the dance floor!
A quick shout out to the expert planning of Sheila from A Memorable Fete, a local planner who was with us every step of the way and aside from ensuring every little detail was in place, also made sure we were all taken care of and treated us so well! Thank you Sheila!
