High above the city, in the southwest hills of Portland Oregon, lies the stately Pittock Mansion. While visitors can pay to tour the inside luxury, most are content to explore the lovely grounds and expansive view of downtown Portland. The Pittock Mansion is a French Renaissance-style château originally built in 1909 as a private home for Oregonian publisher Henry Pittock and his wife, Georgiana. With impressive style, it has become the backdrop for beautiful wedding photography and engagement portraits. Portland photographers visit regularly to capture a new appreciation of the architectural masterpiece.
Dan & Ellen
Pittock Mansion Engagement
We love Dan and Ellen. Any engagement session that ends with us asking the couple to go “stand in these bushes” and soon after, the bride walks out with mud soaked feet, belly laughs and asking for photos of said feet…we’re winning.
Michael & Meredith
Pittock Mansion Engagement
Daniel recently ventured out with Michael and Meredith for their Pittock Mansion engagement session. But first, Michael and Meredith love music so the session began at one of their favorite music venues in the city, McMenamin’s Crystal Ballroom.
Chrissy & Kelly
Pittock Mansion
With the recent passing of same sex marriage equality in Oregon, Kelly and Chrissy decided to make their 15 year relationship official in a small, intimate ceremony surrounded by only their closest family.
Jeff & Yen
Portland Engagement
Jeff and Yen are recent Portland transplants but they’re traveling back to Los Angeles next year for their wedding. We recently we spent an afternoon with them in Portland, running around the city taking fun and sexy portraits.
Shiann & Stuart
Pittock Mansion Engagement
Shiann and Stuart’s engagement session at Pittock Mansion.
Chris & Tayler
Portland Engagement
Chris and Tayler are both from Oklahoma and they definitely won me over with their southern charm. Since Chris is an amazing soccer player and he plays for the Portland Timbers, it was only natural that we started the day off at his team’s home turf, Jeld Wen Field. After which, we made our way to Pittock Mansion for a different view of the city and a little time in our city’s giant playground, Forest Park.
