Scott and Kara are two of the funniest people we have ever met. I could end the blog post right here but of course, there’s so much more to say! When they weren’t making us come to close to pee in laughter throughout their engagement session and wedding day, they were making our hearts melt a little bit with their sweet, endearing friendship and love for each other. It’s the perfect combination, really.
We began their wedding day at Hotel Monaco, where both Scott and Kara got ready with their best friends and family. Again, the humor did not cease, especially when Scott gifted Kara with a stuffed gosling. Because she loves taxidermy. And Ryan Gosling. It was perfect.
After caravanning in a double decker bus, Scott and Kara exchanged short and sweet vows in a candlelit ceremony in the octagonal barn at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. Scott kicked off the reception by playing the guitar and singing to Kara, which was a total surprise and gave everyone in the room a reason to tear up again. But it wasn’t long before tears subsided and laughter came back through the form of their wedding party toasts, which, of course, were just as funny as the couple themselves. As you can imagine, the dancing followed suit and never for a second, did neither of us stop smiling from ear to ear as we photographed each moment.
Cheers to Scott and Kara! We wish you many years of happiness, health and odd stuffed creatures for your mantle.
