Brooke and Michael first met over a glass of pinot at a cute little wine bar in Manzanita, Oregon on the coast. They connected instantly with their mutual love of food, wine and travel. They are both high school English teachers so it only makes sense that they courted each other with Shakespeare sonnets over the phone during their time of living in different cities. Lindsay and I have known Brooke for a while and after she introduced us to Michael, we knew he was her perfect match. Their engagement came as no surprise and we couldn’t wait for their wedding.
Michael and Brooke planned their entire Columbia Park wedding, incorporating their passions into the theme of the wedding and working with friends to make it all happen. The wedding was at a park near their house, followed by a marching band processional that led the party back to the house for a sweet backyard reception. Michael is an exceptional cook (we can vouch for that since we are over to their house quite often for dinner). He created the menu for their wedding and prepped it! The fantastic chefs at Thistle came the day of to prepare and serve the meal. It came together beautifully and our hats go off to Brooke and Michael for planning such a wonderful day and night!
For their rehearsal, they did a wine tour stopping at all their favorite wineries in the Willamette Valley. It had to be one of the best rehearsals we’ve been to, complete with a picnic at one of the vineyards, and we felt honored to be there.
We are so incredibly happy for you guys! Cheers!
Beautiful gallery. Congratulations and happy holidays to Michael and Brooke!

Michael & Brooke-
Just wanted to say congratulations and that you both look very happy. From the looks of these pictures it was a fabulous event. You should make the “Park, Kiss, Foot, Bike”- photo a card and sell those bad boys. All of the best! ~MJ
