Meredith first inquired with us about her wedding that would be on New Year’s Eve the year prior and unfortunately we were unavailable. Much to our surprise and happiness, Meredith and Michael decided to opt out of their original holiday wedding plans and move their date to September of last year. She came back to us and her new date was literally our last Saturday available for the entire wedding season. This calls for the age old expression…it was meant to be. Meredith and Michael, Lindsay and Daniel…the four of us were destined for each other!
Before September came, Daniel shot their engagement photos, where we learned a few things about this couple. 1. They can make each other laugh. Anytime. 2. They love music. 3. We love the same music! See? Meant to be! When we arrived at their Exchange Ballroom wedding last fall, we fell in love with them all over again. We loved everything from their enthusiasm for the day (example: Mer’s beaming face as she put on her dress) to the unique details that made up their day (example: Each of their guest tables were named after a concert that the two had been to together.) to their first dance song, which was a Bob Marley classic performed by two of their close friends.
But beyond our shared musical interests, we simply had so much fun working with these two and loved their adventurous spirit that showed itself through the day. During the cocktail hour on the rooftop, Michael set up a goPro in a neighboring building to film a time lapse of the entire thing. (You know Daniel loves his goPro). And their Jewish ceremony was held in a beautiful ballroom that was dark except for a spotlight on the chuppah (You know we love crazy lighting). I could go on and on but I invite you now to let the photos do the talking and enjoy a few of our favorites from the day.
Special thanks to Barbara and Elyse with BLC Events for the unparalleled coordination efforts which made moving from rooftop to ballroom to rooftop to ballroom…simply seamless and also quite fun. Can’t wait to collaborate together again!
