It’s snowing in Portland right now, a rare sight, and that makes writing this blog from Patrick and Kim’s sunny Ecotrust wedding even sweeter.
Patrick and Kim’s day began with a unique first look, where Kim rode up to Patrick on a pedicab. True Portlanders, these two! Their wedding was held on the rooftop of the EcoTrust building in the Pearl on one of our summer’s warmest days. As the ceremony got underway, guests took shade under parasols, their cute pup Samson was the ring bearer, groomsmen served as flower girls (hilarious), Kim’s sister performed a tearful reading and had to have the officiant finish for her, and we all witnessed emotional vows followed by a passionate first kiss between the couple.
Patrick and Kim have a sweet and meaningful relationship. They are really, really good friends. Which, in our opinion, is the best part about being married. They’re the kind of couple that don’t take life too seriously, enjoy their time with loved ones, and simply embrace being alive and being together. It was an inspiration to witness and a pleasure to photograph.
Thank you and cheers, K+P!
