Low-light weddings provide a unique opportunity that we are always up for. While it may seem daunting, it can create a romantic and intimate feel that other lighting situations can’t. Low-light weddings are often in darker churches but can also be in more unique settings like nightclubs, theaters or just outdoor venues at night. Whatever your venue and lighting, we are more than ready and in fact, very excited about the challenge! Take a look at some examples of these unique circumstances in which we photographed in little to no light at all.
Tim & Mela
World Forestry Center
Labor Day weekend is always the most popular weekend of the year for us and weddings. It’s already booked for 2015 and was snatched up quickly for 2014 last year. One of those couples who snagged it early was Tim and Mela.
Castaway Wedding
Rohan & Erica
Erica and Rohan exchanged vows at the romantic and colorfully rich First Presbyterian church in downtown Portland. After which, the celebration moved to Castaway, where the newlyweds switched into traditional Sri Lankan wedding attire.
Elysian Ballroom Wedding
Hobin & Ella
Planning a wedding is no easy feat as is and planning a Portland wedding while living in New York makes the task even harder. Luckily, Hobin and Ella hired an amazing local wedding planner, Molli Barss of Soiree and the pieces of their Elysian Ballroom wedding came together perfectly.
Evan & Lauren

After exchanging sweet and funny vows in the ultra cool and hip Jupiter Hotel, Evan and Lauren threw a rockin’ party, complete with life size jenga and a flash mob organized by Lauren’s mom.
Erik & Jessica
Elysian Ballroom Wedding
Our last wedding of 2013 fell on winter solstice and it could not have been a more fitting celebration to round out an amazing year. Jessica and Erik began their marriage with a classy, romantic and elegant celebration at the Elysian Ballroom.
Chris & Erin
McMenamins Cornelius Pass Wedding
Chris and Erin entertained guests with an adorable butt squeezing first dance, toasts that tugged at your heart strings and finally, a karaoke machine. Where Erin successfully gave one of the most spirited performances we’ve ever seen by a bride.
