If we had to sum up this wedding in one sentence a few words, it would be “genuine, thoughtful….dance and sing your butt off.” Okay, that’s more than a few words which is good because I have a lot more to say about this Jenkins Estate wedding and the sweetest couple who hosted it.
Meet Sarah and Jordan, a truly wonderful couple who radiated love on their special day. Through thoughtful details and by bringing their friends and family into the most intimate parts of the day, these two created an emotional atmosphere that touched everyone present. It was clear that Sarah and Jordan’s wedding was not just a celebration but a symbol of their heartfelt journey as a couple.
Sarah & Jordan hired the unparalleled expert wedding planner, Carolyn O’Brian of Creative Celebrations.
As a seasoned professional in the wedding industry, Carolyn brings a wealth of expertise and an unmatched energy for orchestrating unforgettable celebrations. Consequently, her attention to detail and creativity is impressive as she navigates the complexities of large scale event planning. She brought in her favorite team of fellow vendors, including flowers by Botanica (always stunning), Greenlight Creative for lighting, Arden Event Collective for rentals, and Stumptown Photo Booth to capture all the candids. Reedville Catering was also on site, for a delicious spread of both dinner and late night snacks. The Cakery provided treats and Fullerton Wines supplied libations. Pretty much a perfect dream team.
Sarah and Jordan
To begin the day, Sarah and Jordan got ready in the Jenkins Estate main house, followed by an emotional first look in the green trails around the property. Weather was absolutely perfect for an outdoor wedding in August. Warm enough for a summer day but cool enough under the shade of the estate gardens.
Subsequently, the ketubah signing took place in the estate’s teahouse. The moment was not only a legal commitment but a beautiful testament to their shared journey and promises to each other. As a surprise, Jordan’s parents hired a professional watercolor artist to sketch and paint the ketubah signing while it was happening. That was a first for us and such a unique gift!
Following the ketubah signing, Sarah and Jordan made their way to their traditional Jewish ceremony on the Jenkins Estate main wedding lawn. Once again, family was integral and we witnessed the true meaning of a Jewish wedding. The joining of two lives and two families is what it’s all about. Jewish weddings always make me tear up. There is so much personal sentiment and honor to the bonds being made.
As the sun set, the party kicked into high gear with a lively reception featuring the vibrant Blue Wave Band, who set the stage for a night of dancing and sheer joy.
One of the most heartwarming highlights of the evening was Jordan’s serenade to Sarah, accompanied by his acapella group from college. While he sang Ben Folds, “The Luckiest”, the atmosphere was filled with not only the beautiful melody but an audience of teary eyed guests. You crushed it, Jordan!
Blue Wave continued to bring the most energetic and entertaining reception music. Jordan’s own aunt taking the stage for a killer singing moment herself! We just can’t say enough about great of a party was had so we’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
