Monica and Isaac’s Orchard wedding in Hood River was a picture-perfect celebration that fully embraced the best parts of getting married in the Columbia River Gorge.
To begin the day, Monica and her bridesmaids were buzzing with anticipation while getting ready at the Columbia Cliff Villas. Columbia Cliff Villas is this gorgeous, Tuscan vibed property that directly overlooks the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge in Hood River. It was a beautiful (and warm!) summer day which made for gorgeous views both at the Villas and at the wedding venue facing Mount Hood. Monica’s joy radiated as her mom helped her into her dress before she exchanged a tender first look with Isaac.
From there, Monica and Isaac made their way to The Orchard, a somewhat newer Hood River wedding venue that opened in the last few years.
Weddings at The Orchard in Hood River
Nestled in the picturesque backdrop of Mount Hood with surrounding Hood River orchards that blanket the landscape, this venue is easily a new favorite for us. It stands out with not only breathtaking views but also updated modern touches. Wedding ceremonies take place with Mt. Hood directly yin your gaze, followed by a cocktail hour where guests can mingle and enjoy the stunning surroundings. Receptions take place in one of The Orchard’s elegant and rustic covered barn. The Orchard’s barn is unique because it is closed on two sides, which provides protection from Hood River wind while also allowing guests to spill in and out for mingling, dancing and taking in the natural beauty of The Orchard.
Simply put, The Orchard is a stunning wedding venue that combined with the natural beauty of Hood River and Mt. Hood shadowing over…we’re in love! From the orchards to the flower gardens to the charming barn previously mentioned, The Orchard offers a versatile backdrop for various wedding styles.
Back to Monica and Isaac! Their Orchard wedding ceremony was so personal and special. Monica was walked down the aisle (Did I mention Mt. Hood is looking straight at you while you do so?) by her father, and the couple’s dog served as ring bearer. A friend officiated and several other close loved ones contributed to the intimate feel of the vow exchange. Monica and Isaac were committed to sharing this day closely with their friends and family, and that goal could not have been more evident during their touching and personal ceremony.
As the sun began to set, the weather cooled off and The Orchard was top notch in executing every thoughtful detail that Monica worked so hard to envision. Let’s talk about meticulous planning by Heather & Lydia of Celilo Catering, which transformed the venue into a sensory delight. From the absolutely stunning table details to elegantly arranged flowers to personalized touches, every tiny detail reflected Monica and Isaac’s classic style. Special shout outs to Riverhood Rentals and Bloomsbury Flowers of Hood River!
We can’t go on without mentioning the incredible culinary delight that comes with The Orchard wedding experience. Celilo Catering is pretty darn impressive both in taste and presentation. We definitely felt like lucky vendors that we got to enjoy that incredible meal. Tip: Do not skip the polenta. :)
Monica and Isaac continued the fun by slicing a darn gorgeous cake from Windflower Cakes of Hood River, dancing into the night through the amazing DJ power of Mandy Hoffman and exiting through a tunnel of ribbon waving partygoers, eager to see the happy couple start their next adventure together. Thank you Monica and Isaac for the invitation to document this magical day and the commitment you made to one another.
